have you ever thought about finding another interest? something without bad memories attached to it?
"I’ve thought about it oh God above in Heaven, I have. But in all honesty, that means starting over from the beginning, and oh, I’ve my pride.”

have you ever thought about finding another interest? something without bad memories attached to it?
"I’ve thought about it oh God above in Heaven, I have. But in all honesty, that means starting over from the beginning, and oh, I’ve my pride.”
"they" didn't sour your opinion and view toward dancing at all? you still want to do it even after what you went through? doesn't it have bad memories tied to it now?
"Of course they soured my opinion towards it. But it’s all I’ve got. All I’ve ever had, all I may ever have. But in all honesty—well, a Disney movie said this—the past can hurt, but I can either run from it, or I can learn from it."
what about dance performances and shows? like ballet and other dances like that that people go to see?
"More attainable, and something I’ve wanted since I was a child. If I could have, I would have, in a heartbeat."
did you have dreams of performing on big stages? like musicals and broadway?
"When I was a child, yes. However, I can’t sing worth a damn, so I doubt it would have been realistic for me."
if that risk wasn't there would you like it? if there was a chance they couldn't trace the dance back to you?
"In a heartbeat. Or less. I’d be saying yes and squealing in joy before someone finished telling me the news."
do you make up your own dances? or do you follow steps of set ones?
"Depends on the situation, in all honesty. In formal settings, I often tend to follow dances that’ve been established time and time again; tradition is tradition, and I’d rather not confuse my partner midway through a waltz."
"However, when I dance for myself, or for when others are watching, and not participating, I often enjoy creating my own dances. It’s invigorating, and allows me control."
do you still like dancing?
"I like to believe I do," Tevy said honestly, "I danced before, and I do still dance now. It’s merely a matter of telling myself I’m doing it because it’s something I want, as opposed to something I must do.”
"Of course," She grave a wry grin, "I don’t practise for so long my feet bleed and my mind is numb from memorising steps anymore."
