It does; random ideas are often the funniest. Dreams can sometimes be pretty amazing, too! Ian Whybrow's Little Wolf is such a funny book! I think the thing with Dr. Seuss is we didn't get any translations (as far as I know) 'til I was already too old for them... "The Jolly Postman" sounds amazing. Interactive books are the best (and it kinda reminds me of Postman Pat lol) I've only read "The Giggler's Treatment", but it's also a great book. I haven't read all of Roald Dahl's work but I also love the ones I have... And I'll make sure to look up Anne Fine (: (Dalek Bob!! :DD)
First, I am SO sorry for the delay in replying to this, as every time I have gone to answer it I have been called away.
Second, random things that pop into your head can reap far some fantastic results. This is the reason that I always listen to that little voice in there that suddenly says, "Wouldn't this be great?!!"
Third, what a shame Dr Seuss was never available as a translated text for you. I thought it was hilarious as a child. The Jolly Postman seemed similar to Postman Pat to me too; probably part of the appeal. That particular book fascinated me with all the intricate details they put in (I do like detail). They used to feature Roald Dahl quite heavily in BBC's Jackanory, where an actor would read out a book each week. Quentin Blake's illustrations were always a delight too!
Let's hope I get some more ideas for Dalek Bob very soon. :DD
