CIS-MALE HE/HIM. Hey, is that OLIVER JACKSON-COHEN, no that is just EVAN HENLEY around Turtle Bay. I heard they are 36 years old, and their birthday is DECEMBER 25TH, 1988. They rest their heads in the WEST BANK but they can mainly be found working as a MANAGER/MECHANIC at FRONTLINE AUTO. BIOGRAPHY:
Life for Evan Henley had never truly been easy. For as long as he could remember his parents had been addicts, often leaving him to watch over his younger brothers, scrounging up enough food to satisfy their rumbling bellies, while his parents were more concerned with finding their next fix than making sure their children were properly taken care of. More often then not Evan found himself going without so that his younger siblings didn’t have to. Going without dinner so they had enough food to eat, going without birthday presents so they got something on Christmas. It wasn’t always easy but Evan was more than happy to make the sacrifice for his siblings. Evan did his best to shield his younger siblings from the worst of his parent’s addictions, often planning impromptu outings anywhere he could think of. Taking them to the beach and teaching his brothers how to surf- Caspian’s favorite, taking them to the park, to the public pool, to the library. Anywhere to get them out of the chaos that awaited them at home. Evan’s favorite though was always sneaking into the drive-in, he loved getting lost in the stories on the big screen and the feeling the reality of their lives melt away, at least for a few hours. Life for the Henley’s became even more complicated when Evan was fifteen. One day out of the blue, their dad Timothy decided he didn’t want a family any more, that he would have more money to spend on drugs if he didn’t have to spend any of it supporting them and he up and left. Even with his dad’s semi-reliable income things were tight and now they were left to rely solely on the paltry earnings their mom brought in from Rocko’s diner.
At first Evan tried to take on odd jobs after school, taking any work around town he could get but that still wasn’t enough to help keep them afloat, they were at risk of loosing everything and Evan was not about to let his younger siblings live on the street. So, Evan made the decision to drop out of school at 16 and work full time. Academics had always been more Micah’s thing anyway. Evan much preferred working with his hands, getting them dirty and figuring out how things worked. Evan found a job working at Ungalow and Sons repair shop and quickly found that he was quite the skilled mechanic. In his free time, he checked out any book about how cars worked, or any owner’s manual he could get his hands on, seeking to improve his knowledge any way he could. Eventually his skills and knowledge caught the attention of the owner of Frontline Auto who offered him a job working there, with a healthy wage increase of course. Even after this promotion his thirst for knowledge didn’t stop, his desire to improve meant he watched countless YouTube videos and continued honing his skills until he could practically fix a fuel injector blindfolded. Evan’s drive and determination lead to him receiving yet another promotion, this time to maintenance manager of Frontline Auto. It wasn’t much but Evan felt like he had finally reached his full potential, and it was certainly a far cry from his families troubled beginning. The Henley brothers finally had a stable foundation below them.
Although Evan felt he had reached his full potential, one his was genuinely proud of, he knew that his brothers were meant for more. They could get out of this town and actually make something of themselves. So he pushed for more, admittedly harder than he probably should have. While he and his brothers have a great relationship overall, his strong ideas about his brothers’ potential and their future have caused tension between them a time or two. Namely when Micah decided not to go to college, and with Caspian’s complacency towards his grades in high school. Evan loves his brothers more than anything in the world but it kills him a little inside knowing that they could be meant for so much, they could escape this city, a city that Evan loves but feels trapped in haunted by. But instead he feels like they chose to settle for good enough, something he never wanted for them.
