Man oh man oh man, what a Way to get back into the Nijad headspace lmao. Let's do this.
1.) He lacks a genuine sense of compassion for others. It's all tied back into what a person can do for him, and so it's rare he'll go out of his way to act selflessly. There are occasions most definitely, because he's not evil per say, he's just a very callous person who uses their resources to support themselves. There isn't some deep traumatic reason for this, it's just the type of person he is--natural born princess.
2.) Ties into the first in some ways, but he doesn't see anybody around him as permanent fixtures in his life, and thus views most people as expendable. If he thinks throwing someone under the bus is going to get him higher up some social ladder, he'll do it without a second thought and without regret. There are very few people he views as more than tokens that can be exchanged later on if need be.
