She’s genuinely struggling to maintain her grip on the beverage holder whilst climbing the path way to headquarters. Her palms are extremely clammy - women in power have always made her anxious. Now, a beautiful woman in power? She was lined up to have a coronary - SOMEONE CALL IT!

abalone: what kind of situations compromise my muse emotionally

Death is something that Marisol faced herself, but losing those she loves practically destroys her. It is not something she can really handle, having lost the first love of her life. While she can comfortably talk about her own brush with death, she’d rather not think of losing someone she cares for. 

When it comes to thing she is passionate about, Mari can lose her cool pretty quickly. Especially when it comes to her sharks or any sharks in the world. Their portrayal in media, their current endangered status, their treatment, their stigma, all of this can really fire her up. If you press all the wrong buttons, she can and will go off.

lodestone: what kind of people gravitate towards my muse

Marisol is naturally very social and charismatic. In addition to this, she is very confident and passionate about what she does. Her knowledge and experience reflect that passion very clearly. This generally attracts people who are equally confident in nature or those that could use a little boost. Heaven knows she has a lot to go around! She also draws in people that are passionate about learning because she has so much to teach. And given that she is a mother, younger people tend to gravitate towards her maternal side. 

tsavorite: if my muse believes in destiny or fate

While Mari wouldn’t go so far to say that she believes in fate or destiny, she does think that everything happens for a reason. Certain events ultimately lead to important life changes, character development/growth, etc. Everything that happens to someone paves a new path for them to follow, each having a fork, or multiple, to choose from. No one is destined to follow one path forever. Every opportunity, every loss, creates a new fork in the road. Where you end up, however, is entirely up to you.

--- There was a memory on the breeze so far inland that she pulled the scent of despite her distance from the coast. Of salt, of surf. Of things beyond the new land she ruled, the oddly textured prey she now hunted with weak skin and branching horns.

This was home; the beast was not one for critical thinking, adaptation being the necessity of survival. But there was a pull there that lead the Tyrannosaur --- sole member of her species --- to the shore.

She felt comfort in the rhythmic pounding of the surf, a calling akin to that of the nest despite her instinctive distaste for deep or open waters. A lullaby of sorts that calmed her mind as the beast strode forth, leaving great furrows in the wet sand.

It had been many sunfalls since she awoke here; since the day in the human lab, confused and lost. She knew not of the humans that now hunted her nor of the policies being written even now in regards to the treatment or lack thereof of what would under normal circumstances be considered an invasive species.

So lost was the old rex in the sea that she did not notice that which approached, but lowered herself in comfort to let the waves lap against her skin.

About Control||closed

The valley handler was doing her normal rounds before setting the herds free in the morning. She checked to see if any were injured, sick, or anything else. Any dinosaur that was being nonresponsive to her commands was held back and reevaluated for any anomaly. When the test was complete, she let the animal return to the herd send have her way back to get office to file reports.

When she arrived in her office, she'd noticed the sleek car outside the small, modest building. 'Oh boy. What have I done now?' She thought as she walked into the building and worked to avoid the eyes of someone above her. The paleobiologist didn't want to deal with anyone that might be upset with her. Not after she'd bag to test some of her animals for the anomalies in behavior.

Alex discreetly made her way into her office and hoped she'd gotten away with hiding, but with her luck... probably not.
