Hello! I’m Alexis, and I’m one of the authors of this blog. I’m 23 (but not for long. My birthday’s in February!) and I live in Manila, Philippines. I love the vibrant, busy beat of my home city.
For about a year, though, I lived in Brisbane, Australia. I loved it there. I kind of miss the whole multi-culti vibe of the city, and how the beach was just a CityTrain ride away. LOL!
Oh, and I’m utterly a huge culture and languages nerd! Hahahaha! I speak around seven fluently (English, three Filipino languages, French, Portuguese, and Mandarin). I’m also learning three more. Also, I like to listen to music from all over the world. That explains the Indonesian and Brazilian jazz music I reblog on my personal blog. Hahaha!
Writing has always been one of my biggest passions. As far as I could remember, creating life out of words has always made me smile (and, apparently, made my English teacher smile. LOL!).
Music is another thing dear to my heart. I grew up in a musical family. My Dad sings and plays the guitar, and Mum sings so I guess I got my love for singing from them. I’m in our church’s worship team, and I’m so blessed to be part of that.
Most importantly, as a Jesus Culture song says “I’m my Beloved’s, and He is mine.” I live for Him, because He gave all for me.
