William is a 31 years old mutant, half Scandinavian, born in England and currently living in the States.
His mutation basically allows him to produce and manipulate fire. However, he is not able to control it once it's out of his grasp. Also, his calm temper has a reason: Whenever he gets too angry, or is under a lot of pressure, he'll have an outburst and he'll have a sort of... spontaneous combustion. He'll turn into some sort of 'human torch', and this change will only end once his heart rate decreases to its normal state.
His past is pretty dark. His father was never there, left before he was born. His mother abandoned him when he turned 12 and his mutant powers started to develop. Ever since, he's been living alone, taking care of himself.
He lived on the streets from 12 to 15, when he finally realised and assumed that his mutant powers could be of some use. He became a sort of a hitman, until he had enough money to pay for a floor in the suburbs.
When he was 17, he finally left the business (mainly because his conscience couldn't quite bare it anymore), and found a decent job as a librarian. From there, he became obsessed with writers (Such as Edgar Allan Poe, Charles Baudelaire and H.P Lovecraft) which gave him enough nerve to try and become a writer himself. Currently he's working on both the library and has edited a book of poetry that isn't selling quite successfully, but still works. He loves all kinds of artistic expressions, including tattoos, and he's almost fully covered in them.
He also plays guitar, piano, bass and drums. He paints and draws and occasionally sings.
He's not shy, most of the time, he's just really quiet. He will watch you, inspect you and figure you out.
Once you've gained his trust, he will be very verbose and won't shut his mouth easily.
He doesn't flirt unless he's really interested, and he takes relationships too seriously for his own good. He's very up-front and being that his mutation is almost level 4, he's hardly afraid of anyone. He loves being respected and feared and will not take any mockery lightly.
You have to try hard to gain his trust and even harder to gain his friendship- but once you do, he will not leave your side. He's loyal and honest, and will stand up in front of anything and anyone.
