I will never understand why The Great Gatsby is consistently listed as #1 on best books lists

I mean it's a good book but it's .... not the greatest thing I've ever read. Not that I'm much of an expert BUT IT'S REALLY HARD FOR ME TO GRASP WHY IT'S ALWAYS CLOSE TO THE TOP IF NOT NUMBER ONE

it's always all that dystopian stuff and Gatsby. and kafka
