Wednesday, April 8: Absolva, "Demon Tormentor"
Although the members of Absolva kept working together as Blaze Bayley’s backing band, they managed to put out 6 records of trad metal on their own and did a rather good job of it. “Demon Tormentor” offered nothing remotely new but was fun and effortlessly anthemic with strong vocals that didn’t push too hard. It sounded like the guys were having fun and just going for it, and their energy was infectious.
So there I am at the #whiskeyagogo all excited for the @blazebayley band, made an insta post like you do. Check my phone & BOOM! the AH MAY ZING bass player @karlossos liked my post! SENPAI NOTICED ME! Freaking out I finish my burger waiting for the show, just to see I then have a MESSAGE from Karl, whose freaking out cause I'm in #swordartonline from @aniplexusa & @bangzoom and he's an #SAO nerd!!!! WTF?!?! So by the end of the night we're both racing to get pics with each other because #whiskeyagogo was kicking us out & still fanning out over music and anime. Well, I'm STILL freaking out!
