In Our Carts: Abstract_
While some of us naturally wear our emotions on our sleeves, new clothing brand Abstract_ is fusing technology and textile production to make it available for everyone. The site, developed by Danish design students Julie Helles Eriksen, Bjorn Karmann and Kristine Boesen, allows customers to create customized clothes based on the emotions they feel as they type a personal story. As they write, the site analyzes facial expressions and the cadence of their keystrokes—how fast, when they pause, etc.—creating a pattern as they go. Once the pattern is completed, it can be made into any product offered on the Abstract_ website, resulting in one of a kind pieces that are the ultimate expression of one’s personality.
