I absolutely ADORE your short comic, Lasting Bonds!!! I'm new here, so I wanted to ask if you had more info about the characters in your story? :)

I’ll talk a bit about them under the cut and show the refs I made for them! (if anyone else want to check out the comic you can find it here! some spoilers ahead for the comic)

Kqo’twec - also known as The Parasite God

They’re a peculiar creature who, as you know from the comic, came to Earth to build a sanctuary for their kin, which are the parasites! Not much is known about them other from the structure they build with Nhovi and her family that over time got decorated with murals to tell the story of Kqo’twec and such. Kqo’twec is acknowledged to have at least existed due to some mysterious phenomenons within the structure that eventually was named “Church of Kqo’twec”. When someone touches Kqo’twec, their hair begins to float as if in water and becomes static for a bit when you step away, and at night when things are quiet you might notice an odd rumbling/humming noise emanating from them. It’s subtle but it’s there!

Nhovi - First person to forge a bond with Kqo’twec

She’s just a very lovely person! Super fond of Kqo’twec and along with the rest of her family, they made it their goal to pass on the knowledge Kqo’twec gave them because, as it turned out, there were parasites pretty much everywhere and they wanted to give others the knowledge to be able to understand and bond with the parasites they might have, and gain a better understanding of oneself. At some point, after Nhovi’s life time, it became a religion that became widespread and known all over the world. Nhovi is a very empathic and caring person and she always helped others if she could, but she also knew when she needed to take care of herself (which... was usually helping others but with smaller, laid back things but yeah)

Keith Sun - Gang leader of Black Orbit

There’s not a lot about them in the comic, but I draw them a lot!! This is just the outfit they have in the comic, except for in the end which is (one variation) of their gang outfit. (the logo on the jacket that i didn’t manage to actually draw in the comic is a reference to my dragonborn paladin, Govath because. yeah) Keith is the main character for my much longer comic project I’m slowly planning, ‘Black Orbit’! Lasting Bonds is kind of a little origins story for Kqo’twec and a little peek into world lore for the present day that Black Orbit takes place.

So yeah, Keith is the gang leader of Black Orbit, a gang fighting against the modification and monetization of parasites because it goes against their beliefs and objectifies parasites so bonds can’t be formed. Keith is kind of an asshole and intimidating, but they’re really strong-willed and trying to change things. Also filled with spite and fighting against other rival gangs, but mainly Crimson Maw because they’re straight up welcoming of parasites being so widely available for anyone to change their appearance and abilities with different attributes parasites can give.

I could go on but I need to save the juicy stuff for my comic ;>

Ha! I'm supposed to be writing/editing my book but I'm working on a fan blog and watching Sense8

Well I have an in-class essay test tomorrow, a paper that I haven’t started due on Wednesday at midnight, and a paper I’ve got maybe 1/3 written due Thursday at noon, so I’ve got some stuff to be doing, I just don’t wanna.

Life is a struggle, for sure.

Moth ❧ what do you find attractive in a person?It’s all about the personality honestly. I like depth in people. I like stories. It makes people interesting.

Blood ❧ what is the worst injury you’ve gotten?I broke my foot when I was in preschool. Other than that, I’ve sprained my wrist pretty intensely and got seriously deep bruises on my shins to the point where they grew some extra bone mass to compensate. All of these were cause by me falling.

Statue ❧ who is your favorite artist? VanGogh or Monet

Candle ❧ what is your favorite scent?The smell of the woods after rain.

Dublin, Prague, Toronto, Mumbai, Stockholm

Dublin: I don’t think I believe in soulmates. It’s kind of a sad theory, honestly, that there’s only one person on the planet you should be with and if you miss that connection, your life will feel incomplete. I think that there will be multiple people you love throughout life and that’s rad.

Prague: answered!

Toronto: My ideal partner would make sure that I don’t let myself get lonely, listen to my ridiculous headthoughts, and make me laugh. That’s the basics, really.

Mumbai: My favorite scent is the smell of a forest after rain. Not so much the dirt, but the evergreens.

Stockholm: A lot of things scare me. Most of it is silly things inside my friends. A big one is being lonely. Another big one is getting a life-threatening disease.
