I've always been fascinated by how geographical location informs an artist's work. Whether it's the climate, culture, or something else, where an artist is based will undoubtedly have an impact on their material, either directly or indirectly. Abyss One hails from Los Angeles, and as the cover art for their Julietta EP suggests, the sunny nature of their locale is influenced by something a bit darker. This also shines through on "Julietta", a beautiful, stammering mess of a track that never seems content with itself, other than continuing forward.
