So! I have another surprise for mermay!
In a completely different universe, we have The Abzu Au I'm working on!
If you know the story of the game Abzu, you probably can tell why I made Sun and Moon the divers instead of being the merfolk haha
This AU, similar to the Subnautica one, follows the game's story for the most part.
Sun and Moon, (who share the same body in this universe), one day awake floating in the middle of a vast ocean. They have no memory of who they are, where they came from, or why they're here. They only know their names and that they are one another's company. They have directives within them that push them forward to investigate, though they ignore for what purpose exactly.
As they move to explore the environment around them and the scattered pieces of evidence of a civilization long gone from the area, they discover what each of them specializes in underwater, learning when to hand over the pilot seat so that they can keep digging deeper into the reason they are here.
As they go, though, they discover that there is someone in the area keeping a careful eye on them. A being that seems similar to a species they recognize, a great white shark, but oh so very different at the same time. The huge creature is more than a bit intimidating and seems to dislike their presence in the area.
But their directives, and their desire to learn why they've woken up here, dictate that they must push on.
Even if there's someone out there that might not quite agree with them.
Yet.
(You guys have no idea how excited for this AU I am!! It's gonna be a lot of fun developing it! I'm up to the brim with ideas for it already :D)
