President Trump has criticized the mainstream media for its use of anonymous sources. Anderson Cooper just called out the president for his hypocrisy.

Trump’s been on a rampage against the media lately. He really hates that the press uses anonymous sources in their stories that debunk his lies.

Trump told audiences at CPAC, “I’m against the people that make up stories and make up sources. They shouldn’t be allowed to use sources unless they use somebody’s name.”

Trump hates it when the media uses anonymous sources because he then can’t retaliate against the sources. So instead of taking responsibility for his actions as an honorable leader would, he attacks the press.

CNN’s Anderson Cooper pointed out the blatant hypocrisy of the President. He noted on his Friday show that President Trump cites unnamed sources all the time to back up his lies.

Cooper’s team took a look at Trump’s Twitter feed. It turned out that Trump regularly uses unnamed sources in his posts.

Cooper said, “Just keeping him honest on the whole anonymous sources thing. We actually looked at the president’s twitter feed and we discovered at least five instances in which he questioned President Obama’s citizenship when then citizen Trump quoted an extremely credible source or a confidential source.”

Trump clearly doesn’t have a problem with using anonymous sources. So why is it that he aggressively attacks the media for using them?

The truth is that Trump can’t handle it when negative things are said about him. He’s a narcissist who demands that people only say nice things about him.

He’s also afraid that the truth about some of his corruption will get out. He knows that he’s committed several impeachable offenses.

Trump can’t deny the reports about his Russian ties from unnamed sources. Nor could he debunk the stories from leaks in the intelligence community about his mishandling of the Michael Flynn fiasco.

So Trump tries to deflect attention from his corruption by attacking the media. He calls the media the enemy of the American people in front of his ravenous audiences.

Then we forget about the calls between Trump’s campaign and Russian intelligence. Trump instead shifts the focus back on the media.

Notice how Trump only punishes and berates news outlets that report on his ties to Russia. Meanwhile, he rewards outlets that ignore the massive scandal. Something is amiss.

We can’t keep allowing Trump to get away with these distractions. We need to demand the appointment of a special prosecutor to investigate Trump.

There’s no doubt that the leaks will continue from the White House for some time to come. The media needs to take this information continue to aggressively report on Trump’s crimes.

The press needs to continue to focus on Trump’s lies, and not allow Trump to distract them with his stupid remarks. That’s how we’ll take this administration down.

These anonymous sources in the government are risking their lives and careers to get the truth out about Trump. They continue to leak out proof of Trump’s misdeeds to the public.

The Trump surrogates are saying that the down-ballot Republicans should support the nominee because the voters chose him.

Primary contests have different types of turnouts than general election contests. The general election voters are more moderate, and Donald Trump has not done enough to bring those people in. 

The Trump surrogates are trying to save their candidate. The Republican strategists have - pragmatically - realized the Presidency is all but lost and are trying to save the Senate.
