Once Karen saw the request board to help construct The Velvet Room she was all for it. Not only did that mean there would be a nightclub in this lame city, but she’d get paid handsomely for her work. Glancing down the list she noticed a single name written next to “Audio Setup”. That had to be easy enough, right? Plus, it sounded low risk for injury to her legs. Can’t risk loosing her lead role at the theatre. 

Taking their contact information, Karen quickly tapped it into her phone. 

[ To Louis ] wanna b partners for velvet room? 

[ To Louis ] i can meet u there in a hour if interested 

After hitting send, she wondered if this guy was good looking. It’d be a great afternoon if she was getting paid to be in the presence of someone hot. Flirt and put wires around the building. Sounded like the easiest money she’d ever earned.

Thanksgiving || Molly & Louis

Molly stood in the center of the square, a buttercup flower in hand as she waited, focusing on the hands of each passerby-er go hopefully find her date for the evening. She was thankful to have worn a jacket over her dress, the brisk Autumn air more evident and chillier now that it was evening. It had been quite a while since Molly had been on any type of date, blind or not, and upon seeing the event advertised, she figured it might be worth trying. After all, a night out with a stranger was a lot better than a night in alone. Shifting her weight, she turned her head, glancing to the hand of a man in her vicinity and spotting the very flower she held.

“Oh, hello!” She called out, walking towards the man, whom she recognized as a shopkeeper from a store she had recently visited. She held up her buttercup with a smile. “It looks like we’re together tonight. I’m Molly.”
