We got some news that AC-130 will be running training in KEFD. This aircraft stayed through the weekend plus a few days…
Aircraft Serial # 89-1056
AC-130U from (4 SOS) is part of the 1st Special Operations Wing at Hurlburt Field. This specialized gunship is equipped with the following hardware :
AC-130U Spooky II
1× General Dynamics 25 mm (0.984 in) GAU-12/U Equalizer 5-barreled Gatling cannon
1× 40 mm (1.58 in) L/60 Bofors cannon
1× 105 mm (4.13 in) M102 howitzer

An AC-130U Gunship from the 4th Special Operations Squadron flies a local training mission at Hurlburt Field, Fla. The AC-130U "Spooky" gunship is the primary weapon of Air Force Special Operations Command. Its primary missions are close air support, air interdiction and armed reconnaissance. The U model is an upgraded version of the H and is equipped with side firing, trainable 25 mm, 40 mm, and 105 mm guns.
