zero – eleven - Penelope Anne Clarke was born in Galway, Ireland to Saoirse Rowan and Adrian Connor Clarke on June 01, 1994. - Despite their wealth, Penelope had a mentally difficult upbringing due to her mother being bi-polar, her father being a powerful alcoholic, and her brother’s shadow seeming to define her. - She discovered her love for gymnastics and dance, using it as her escape from the world and putting as much time as possible into it. twelve – nineteen - With the pressure from her family becoming too much, Penelope and her brother decide they are going to take matters in their own hands and take control of their young lives. - Penelope and her brother set fire to their childhood home with their parents inside of it. - With the death of her parents being investigated and proved accidental, Penelope and her brother are put into the system just long enough to get the insurance and trust fund money released to them. - Penelope Anne Clarke quickly becomes Vidalia Rae Banai as she and her brother part ways and flee Ireland and she works to take on her new identity. - At a train station in London, Vidalia meets the man in charge of the circus after overhearing a conversation. He takes her under his wing and invited her into the commune that was his travelling world. - Vidalia leaves London with the circus, falling in love with her role and training harder and harder to be the best. - During this time, she meets the love of her life, Noah Leon Chance. She invests her entire body and soul into him, and, for a while, he becomes her world. - The relationship quickly takes a turn for the worst as Noah becomes abusive, sending Vidalia into a spiral of drug use; a easy vice for her to take on as it was already common within the circus. - Vidalia finds herself pregnant. - Forced out of her drug using lifestyle and experiencing withdrawals worse than the abuse, Vidalia tries to take her own life. She in unsuccessful and both her and her baby survive. - Vidalia gives birth to a beautiful baby boy, Kian Chance Banai. - The baby boy is quickly removed from her and adopted by an older couple within the circus, allowing her to see him grow and be with him as much as she wants, but removing her and Noah’s parental rights. - Her abusive relationship continues, her travelling with the circus continues, however she continued to work to get herself clean. twenty – twenty-four - With the abuse of her boyfriend and being forced to be a minor person in her son’s upbringing, Vidalia goes back to her old ways and decides to take back her life and freedom for both her and her son. - Vidalia burns down the circus, assuming she’s taking out her father’s son in the fire. - Vidalia flees the city with her now one-year old son, shifting into a life of travelling and performing on her own all over the world, wherever she can. - Vidalia meets Julianna and lands in Sloane, performing at one of her fundraisers. It’s here that she also meets James and Sean, landing herself a deal to open a club within the city and therefore provide her now four-year old son with some stability in his life. - Vidalia moves to Downtown, Sloane and opens Ring of Fire, quickly integrating human trafficking into her circus themed nightclub. twenty-five - Through an old and mutual friend, Vidalia finds out that Noah is alive and well. - On a particularly rough night, Vidalia allows herself to fall back into old ways, harder than the past as she tries heroin. - Vidalia goes to Amsterdam on a forced trip, opting to leave her son with the babysitter. During this trip Vidalia gets the dreaded phone call that her son is in the hospital due to having gotten into her drug stash at her apartment. - Kian is released from the hospital and into temporary custody of Noah. - Vidalia starts the custody battle, putting everything she has into getting her son back, all the while spiraling deeper and harder into her dark lifestyle. - A gift is left on her front doorstep from T.F. - Vidalia is forced to give up custody of her son to Noah.
