I have seen an astounding number of people say that they are completely enchanted by Mary Read even though they don't/have yet to play the game. I don't know exactly what that says, but it's something good.
The fact that Connor knew pretty much nothing about Edward and yet Kidd's trinket and sword still somehow ended up in his possession out of everyone in the world makes me really emotional.
