Number 28: A Cabin in the Woods (2011) Source: Peacock TV Runtime: 1:35 Premise: Without giving too much away, it starts off as a satire of the classic “cabin in the woods” horror flick. It’s the Evil Dead meets The Truman Show. Seemingly trite in the beginning (I honestly stopped paying attention at some points) it picks up about half way and gets more entertaining. It turns out to be a witty and somewhat thought-provoking thriller. Everything you love about scary movies gets rolled into one here with some clever jokes peppered in. Even a few horror alumni make graceful cameos. Though a parody, it manages to break some rules and gets away with it.
