Oak Brook Illinois Family Attempts to Overturn Claims of Academic Cheating
On July 1, 2016, the “Daily Herald” reported that the parent of a student in Oak Brook, Illinois would like a judge to overturn sanctions imposed by her son’s school that bans him from competing in academic contests. The school board claimed the mother and her son cheated because they received advanced copies of test questions for the National Geographic Bee (GeoBee) regional tournament.
