Heißer Schlagernachmittag

Es war wohl einfach zu heiß für einen Schlagernachmittag. 32 Grad im Schatten zeigte das Thermometer, als die Österreicherin im Odenwald, Acarina, mit ihren Friends die Kulturbühne am Hüttenwerk Michelstadt enterte. Auch wenn das Publikum in der sengenden Sonne überschaubar war, ließen sich die Musiker davon nicht beeindrucken und boten eine dreistündige Show.

💅 What are some things they have strong opinions about?

Relationships, probably! Shes very…passionate and controlling in relationships… Very bad (stinky) She thinks she should know everything her partner is doing at all times and you better send her that good-night text or else!! No but really she’s very abusive please don’t consider being her gf

💞 What’s their friend group like? What role do they play (leader, mom friend, etc.)?

She has lots of friend groups (and they also change during midnight blues) they’d be too much and too boring to explain tbh ,,Generally though she tries to be very friendly and helps everyone out.. She’s also really into drama and would love to hear you vent your problems to her

💄 Do they care about their physical appearance? What’s their routine like?

Carina is trying very very hard to push body positivity, but still doesn’t accept that she’s a little chubbier. Whenever she eats something she feels bad, because she won’t ever fit into those clothes ™  Yeah so she tries to appear confident but is really insecure and cares way too much about her appearance. She dyes and cuts her hair regularly, has 90 eyeshadows and highlighters and one (1) all one in all foundation lmao 

🍰 What’s their favorite food?

I don’t think she really has one favorite thing and would just answer with sappy or horny shit like “the things I eat when we’re together (winkyface)” haha Sweets are very cool though

Is “art hoes” a stereotypical high school clique?? If we’re talking school clique that 12-year old Carina would fit into definitely the “im not like other girls”-clique that listens to screamo and thinks emo boyz are so cute x3, but secretly has a thing for the female drummer

Drugs, or any addictive substances that are taken for fun. She’s weary of drugs, be it krokodil or ‘just’ cigarettes and would never condone it. It’s just bad and no good comes of it Also saying “yeehaw” in conversations to spice it up a little is valid

💞 What’s their friend group like? What role do they play (leader, mom friend, etc.)?

Zofia is usually the adult because she’s the most responsible. She could also be that one aunt that doesn’t seem to have a job, but just bathes in luxury and goes on vacation ever other week.Either way she definitely cares for her friends, is generally more passive in her friend groups, but always hangs out with them to do some dumb shit. Even though she’s often the voice of reason she secretly enjoys breaking into their local swimming pool at 3am or stealing one whole plant pot

💄 Do they care about their physical appearance? What’s their routine like?

Yes!! Zofia is trans and can be very dysphoric on certain days. She tends to stick to the same make-up if she’s made good experience with it though. Sometimes she doesn’t put on any because she has very sensitive skin that can get very dry at timesI don’t know about her hair tbh... I’m very torn if I want to give her naturally dark or light hair because both would fit very well into her aesthetic ... :~/ She definitely cuts it way less than Carina though and usually braids it or wears it open

Anything that reminds her of summer! Fruity ice cream is probably her favorite

Trombidiformes are fine ‘plush toy’ mites. Free living as adults and parasites in earlier stages. Actually, even more complex than this.

Red Velvet Cupcakes. Or. Red Velvet Mites. You Choose...

Mites are among the oldest and most numerous organisms on the planet. They are diverse in form (30,000+ described species) and phylogeny (350 families) and extraordinarily abundant in a wide range of habitats, including your head. A couple of hectares or a few acres and you have the planets human population in mites. The group shown here are among the few that you might actually notice, unless you are an acarologist or obsessed with the little things. Pretty obvious why they are called red velvet mites, I reckon.

Sweet little things aren’t they? Just like cupcakes.

Not for the squeamish, but here’s a tick. The most interesting thing was the little hooks at the end of its feet (tarsus) and how its body reminded me of the ridges of a fingerprint. Interesting thing about tick feet: they have a special organ called “Haller’s organ” that allows them to sense temperature, humidity, and carbon dioxide. 

This tick was removed from a person, and it was done correctly - meaning that the head was fully removed as well.
