That post I saw earlier about the idea of Simon being found by eridians and living on erid with a forest [from his little seed charm thing] for a long time before grace arrives is DRIVING ME CRAZY. The idea of him knowing Adrian and being close to them like grace is with rocky,,,, AND he'd probably come up with his own name for them so when grace DOES show up i wonder what they'd agree to call them LMAO!! Imagine Adrian [will call them Adrian for simplicity/clarity] coming to simon one day telling him that their mate is close to home and they just received radio from them and they're bringing another alien just like him!! And he's like okay . Wait what huh . And then Adrian just VANISHES for like 2 or 3 days while they figure out how to get grace down to the planet and they get to spend time with rocky again,,, so simon is just left to wonder WHAT is going on until they bring this like. Completely malnourished guy who's barely conscious and say that he saved their planet ?!????? And that he'll stay in Simon's biodome to recover and Simon's like MAN WHAT DO YOU MEAN ? I DONT KNOW HOW TO HELP THIS GUY HANG ON ,

I think it'd be fun to think about like. The opposite of the usual fics where simon is recovering from the blood ocean since grace is the one recovering this time !!! So interesting aughhhj . Might draw something about it

Also do we know what kind of tree the seed is for? Would be fun if it was an apple tree . Bc it's from Eden.

AWW AWW HELLO thank you so much I'm so glad you like it !!! Honestly I do have some extra thoughts about this that I wanted to add

I think Simon's house has a skylight. And I think when his habitat was stabilized and they could even think about making it functionally earth-like [imagine poor Simon trying to explain light to eridians. Badly.] He insisted upon having little pinpricks for stars. And sometimes he sits and looks up at the panels of xenonite so far above him, and knows that even though these are fake, he's in a world where beyond the clouds of Erid the stars are real.

I've been thinking about how to get him out of space and onto erid too! How would they know he needs oxygen? And that it needs to be the right temperature? The SM-13 was not exactly doing. Very well. On oxygen during the movie, ?? I'm deciding this is before that kind of final scene where the sub is irreparably damaged, so the hull is all intact where it matters. Maybe they make an airlock type thing - eridians are smart, they wouldn't just open up this alien spacecraft, they probably can assume it has a different atmosphere to them - and are able to transfer through items like grace and rocky did! I think Simon would stay at the top of the eridian space elevator for a WHILEEE before anything would be ready for him to go live on the surface.

Adrian visits the most. He'd probably know them by voice, since he wouldn't be able to see outside ofc. Maybe they're the ones that figure out how to communicate, maybe simon takes comfort in the first voice he hears, even if it's alien. Maybe the weightlessness of low gravity that far up from erid is what tells him that he's not in the ocean anymore, that he can finally take the hope we see from him in the movie and work with it. Simon fascinates me BECAUSE of the pure hopelessness of his situation contrasted with his belief that there's a solution, that something is worth fighting for, and that he wants to live. I want to take that and use that as his driving force to figure out survival on erid!!! Take that determination and combine it with Adrian's intelligence and scientific knowledge [in my headcanon at least] and I think they really would work well together.

Honestly I'm not much of a writer, putting the amorphous blobs of ideas into Very Morphous Words on a post is difficult so this may make little sense LMAO. I do have drawing ideas though, of little scenes I've been thinking about. Yes I'm super focused on simon right now tomorrow ill draw grace I swear [I have a favorite I fear]

My single complaint about how the phm movie changed fanart is that EVERYONE IS DRAWING ERIDIANS NAKED NOW. THEY WEAR CLOTHES !!!!! PLEASEEE GIVE THEM OUTFITS I BEG OF YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
