Okay, I love fusion summon. I love that it’s here. I get excited every time I see it probably just because of my GX nostalgia because the method itself is really hard to use in Duel Links (which is my only exposure to the game so far, please don’t hate) but whatever. I like fusion summon in the anime because of how creative it can be.

BUT WHY IS IT HERE?!

This makes Accel Synchro even stupider. Yusei has at least one fusion card in his deck that he’s able to use no problem here. When did he get that?! Are we meant to assume he had it this whole time and yet didn’t think to use it to counter his Synchro monsters getting stolen?! I thought of that in two seconds without even knowing fusion summon was still around in this universe! Both Jack and Yusei have used it, there’s no excuse. They know it exists.

I’m usually fine with the characters randomly having new cards (I prefer when they do explain it but it’s not a big deal) but here, it creates a really idiotic plothole.

...I really hope this is the thing you guys said was baffling because I can’t see myself being more angry than I currently am.
