oh! so many songs remind me of so many people. i'll pick just a few.
"California Dreamin'" by The Mamas and the Papas reminds me of my best friend from high school, Corinne. I think just because she was obsessed with it for awhile.
"Tip Toe Thru the Tulips" by Tiny Tim reminds me of my friends Julie and Eva bc it used to scare them and i love it and now they both love it too.
"Sparkler" by Jeans Wilder reminds me of boy bc it's the first song i listened to when i got home after our first date.

yes! it's a very practical system as opposed to just purchasing everything i think is cute, and when i do this i end up getting a lot more wear out of whatever i end up buying because i already have an idea of things i can mix and match it with

1. meaning behind my url: so “james”, my name, is derived from “jacob”, which means “supplanter”, or one who usurps another, usu. by force. i embrace this name because i’m constantly usurping and taking back control from people and forces in my life and things implanted in my mind/spoken over my life that don’t need to be there (racist/classist power structures, negativity, depression, low self-esteem, etc.), and i believe that i’m called to empower others to do the same.
12. perfect date for me: pick her up/meet her somewhere, grab some dinner at a schwanky restaurant because i like to eat and pretend like i’m ballin, head over to a live music show (preferably a jazz or neo-soul lounge because i love those musics and i like to sit down), talk to the musicians afterwards if it doesn’t make her uncomfy, then go to a dessert/coffee place (i don’t drink coffee, but maybe she does and i can just eat cake and drink tea anyway nahmsayin) with some nice conversation, then escort her back to her place and say goodnight, hopefully putting me in a good position for a follow-up date
