During the month of April, I am challenging myself to write on blog post a day around the theme “Acceptance Is...”  

Here is my post from Day 1.

We are doing an ‪#‎AcceptanceIs‬ sign campaign on social media for Autism Acceptance Month this year! Share with the world what Autism Acceptance is to you. If you are autistic yourself, we'd love to share the things you like about your autistic self that has lead you to self-acceptance.

While the “Autism Acceptance is” sign is for anyone, autistic or not, to use, we ask that the “I like being autistic because” ones are done by autistics.

To participate, download the appropriate template from the begining of this album. You can either edit in your answer to the prompt on your computer or write/draw it out after printing it. You would then either take a picture with it or send us a picture of your edited sign.

Email these images to [email protected] with #AcceptanceIs in the title, along with how you would like to be credited and your preferred pronouns. They will be posted across our social media throughout April!
