The Beaver State becomes the third to pass such a prohbition
Oregon has become the third state to ban the use of conversion therapy on minors. Reparative therapy or conversion therapy is classified as any treatment aimed to change sexual orientation or gender identity. The American Psychological Association does not support the use of conversion therapy. It is time we end this dangerous practice, which has proved in cases like Leelah Alcorn, to not only be harmful to a minor’s health and wellbeing, but to cause such significant distress that suicide is often seen as the only way out by many youth. #endreparativetherapy #justice4leelah
