1. I LOVE YOUR NEW THEME!!!! That pink is IT 🤩💘 2. I have a request! FWB + enemies to lovers Bucky x reader but only when they’re on missions together. They have some unspoken rules where they only allow themselves to be together when they’re far away from the tower and it’s just them. When they are at the tower with the rest of the team they’re usually arguing or something. But as time goes on and they keep doing their fwb on missions thing Bucky starts to act like her boyfriend. And she kinda starts acting like his girlfriend too. Like they eventually get very comfortable and touchy and domestic in front of of the team. Bucky is getting really needy and she really likes being the one he needs. I imagine Yelena calling them out or something lol. Not very original but I was just thinking about it 🤭

no i love this
-------
You and Bucky Barnes operate on unspoken rules—rules that neither of you drafted but both of you religiously follow. Rule one: you don’t touch each other at the tower. Rule two: you don’t look at each other too long at the tower. Rule three: you don’t even think of each other at the tower unless you’re yelling, arguing, or glaring.
But on missions? When the jet door seals and it’s just you and him? When the comms crackle dead and the moon is low and the adrenaline is humming in your veins? Those rules dissolve like sugar on the tongue. He presses you to walls, whispers filth against your throat, handles your body like he’s been starving for it. You drag him into shadows, kiss him until he groans, pull him apart just to watch him shiver.
It works.
Or—it used to.
Because somewhere between the fourth mission and the twelfth, Bucky starts breaking rules he never said out loud. Little things at first. He brings you coffee on the quinjet without being asked. He gives you the bigger blanket in shitty safehouses. He tucks your hair behind your ear when you’re stitching your own arm. You pretend not to notice. Pretend your stomach doesn’t flutter warm at his fingers brushing your jaw. Pretend it’s not becoming routine.
Then there’s that mission in Prague—where you get knocked sideways by an explosion, ears ringing, vision fuzzy.
You barely manage to push yourself upright before Bucky is there, hands cupping your face like he’s checking if you’re alive, murmuring, “Sweetheart, look at me—are you hurt? Talk to me.”
Sweetheart.
You freeze.
He doesn’t even notice he said it. He’s too busy memorizing the shape of you with his thumbs.
And that’s when you know: these aren’t rules anymore. They’re feelings—bleeding through the cracks.
He still glares at you in the tower cafeteria the next morning, but it’s weaker now. Less venom, more… flustered. Like he’s worried someone can see something on him.
And maybe they can.
Because you catch yourself slipping too.
You hand him his favorite protein bar after training. You patch a rip in his suit without being asked. You laugh too easily at his dry teasing.
And the team notices—but they don’t know the real reason.
Not until the mission after that—deep in the Carpathians, freezing, miserable. You end up stranded in a half-collapsed hunting cabin waiting for pickup. And the second the door closes, Bucky is on you, kissing you like you’re oxygen and he’s suffocating.
It’s hot and rough the way it always is, but afterward? When the heat fades? He keeps his forehead against yours, breathing you in. His hand stays on your waist, stroking slow, tender in a way that isn’t casual. You don’t pull away. You don’t want to. You end up tangled under one blanket, his chest pressed to your back, his fingers idly tracing your arm.
“We should stop,” you whisper.
He hums. “Yeah.”
Neither of you move.
Neither of you stop.
Back at the tower, the problem is… you forget to reset. He forgets too.
It starts when you’re arguing with John in the kitchen and Bucky casually wanders by, sets a cup of tea next to you exactly how you take it, and then rests a hand on the small of your back while reaching for something.
A hand.
On your back.
In front of the team.
John squints like he’s watching a glitch in the simulation.
It gets worse. During training, Bucky adjusts your stance by sliding in behind you, palms warm on your hips, chest against your spine. The room goes silent. You’re too stunned to move. Ava watches like she’s witnessing a rare migration event.
Then movie night happens.
Somehow—some impossible, stupid, rule-breaking how—you end up on the couch with Bucky’s head on your thigh, his hair brushing your stomach, his fingers absently rubbing circles into your knee like you’re his personal comfort object. Every time you shift, he makes a soft little noise and leans back into you.
Five minutes in, your fingers are in his hair. You don’t even realize you’re doing it.
Everyone notices.
Nobody says anything.
Until Yelena.
It happens at lunch. You’re bickering with Bucky over who ruined the espresso machine when Yelena drops her fork, looks directly at both of you, and says:
“Are you two mated or something?”
The entire room goes still.
You choke. Bucky fumbles his bowl.
“We’re not—” you start.
“Absolutely not,” Bucky adds.
Yelena blinks. “So you are lying. Interesting.”
“We’re not lying,” you insist. “We’re just—”
“Friends,” Bucky blurts.
You whip your head toward him.
“Friends who hate each other,” you correct.
“Enemies,” Bucky nods quickly.
“Enemies who occasionally—”
“Don’t,” you snap at him.
Yelena tilts her head. “Enemies who cuddle during movies? Who spoon on missions? Who make sex eyes across breakfast?”
You both combust.
“I DO NOT—”
“HE DOES NOT—”
“Please,” she says flatly. “It is disgusting. Just date already.”
She returns to eating like she didn’t just detonate a bomb under your identities.
You look at Bucky. He’s… flushed. Soft around the eyes. Lips parted like he’s been caught doing something private.
“We’re not dating,” he says quietly.
“We’re not,” you echo, though your voice doesn’t sound convinced.
But Bucky’s gaze on you shifts—like something is aligning in his head. Like maybe Yelena wasn’t wrong.
That night, you lie awake thinking about the rules. About how many have broken. About how many you didn’t want anyway.
There’s a knock.
Bucky stands in your doorway—hands shoved in pockets, eyes unsure in a way that makes your ribs tighten.
“Can we… talk?”
You let him in. Close the door.
He swallows. “If we’re not dating, then why does it feel like I’m yours everywhere except when you’re looking?”
Your breath stutters.
“And why,” he adds softly, stepping closer, “does it feel like you’re mine every time I touch you?”
You don’t answer.
You don’t need to.
He cups your cheek—gentle, reverent, needy—and when you lean into his palm, he exhales like he’s been holding his breath since the first mission.
The rules are gone.
They never mattered.
Because when he kisses you—slow, soft, nothing like the rushed hookups—you know Yelena was right.
You already act like his girlfriend.
He already loves being the boy who needs you.
So after a week of not watching any kdramas (instead i watched some korean variety shows) i finally found a kdrama that i think i will finish. That Fool/ The Accidental Couple where Hwang Jung Min and Kim A Joong are the two leads so i just give it a go i did not really think about if i should watch this or not. So i just finish episodes 1-4 of this and so far i kinda hate and love Han Ji Soo (Kim A Joong) and i really like Goo Dong Beak ( Hwang Jung Min) this kdrama is really funny episode 1 i was already laughing an i think its a good thing but i have to say their are scenes that i really hate. I hate the idea of Ji Soo always trying to fix everything for Kang Mo ( Joo Sang wook) i hate their relationship and i don't get it why Ji Soo is so in love with Kang Mo his not that great. And i hate Ji Soo for acting so meaning toward Dong Beak he's a great guy his not that good looking but his charming and i think thats enough to fall for him his great compared to Kang Mo! But i'm really looking forward in the next episodes i know secrets will be revealed and Ji Soo's heart will go to Dong Beak she will fall for this charms i can feel it hopefully i will finish this one and so far the first 4 episodes were not boring at all so yeah looking forward for episode 5! Fighting Goo Dong Beak! Oh and yeah Han Sang Chul ( Baek Sung Hyun) is actually cute i like him haha
What can I say? I love the Average Joe/Superstar trope to death, and That Fool is a sweet example of a drama that does it quite well. It was an easy watch - it didn't push the angst buttons too much, had a great B-cast and good, solid writing.
Its only downfall was it was a little too awkward in places - I'm not entirely sure Kim Ah Joong was on the same page as Hwang Jun Min at crutial points in their relationship - which may have to do with Hwang being such a phenomenal actor - but it ended sweetly and succinctly and not a moment too soon.
Cute, cute, cute. Good for a watch, if you're in the mood.
