✨️🏳️⚧️Congratulations to everyone on this trans day of visibility!✨️
I just want to wish us all a peaceful day (and honestly, at least a year) and ask you to support the trans folks you know during these truly shitty times. Your love and support are priceless💙🩷🤍🩷💙
Last year I shared some old artwork featuring my trans characters, but this year I managed to get round to creating a new piece to mark the occasion. Times are tough these days, so I really wanted to celebrate at least in some way
These are Imre and Anike. A former police first lieutenant and his loyal deputy—and, at the same time, a very close friend
I’ve wanted to draw them for ages, but I just couldn’t seem to get my hands to it. I hope that over the next six months I’ll manage to create a proper full-rendered illustration that I’ve also been mulling over in my head for about a year now. It should be very spring-like and festive🌸
First impression of Arirang as in I’ve only listened to the album once:
The autotune is throwing me off. I mean, BTS can sing. Why so much autotune? I want to see and hear how the songs sound live. I think they will sound so much better without autotune.
The first half of the album sounds like fun crazy dance party and the latter half sounds more moody and atmospheric.
Do I like it? Yes. There are some songs that catch and hold my attention and sound like bangers or cool mood pieces. Do I love it? Well, it feels like an album I will grow to love after multiple listens.
Please don’t kill me. It’s just my first impression. And I haven’t dived into the lyrics yet.
poll: have you ever met somebody that seemed to hate you for no reason?
Thanks for the poll request, anonymous! Keep 'em coming, folks.
Have you ever met somebody that seemed to hate you for no reason?
Yes, a lot of people
Yes, a few people
Yes, one person
No, although I've met people who have hated me for a specific reason
No, I've never met anyone who seemed to hate me (that I know of)
My first impression of Code Lyoko:
I have only watched the first three episodes but I think the story is fascinating.
The first episode was so confusing to me, because I was faced with some matrix-like virtual reality that somehow interacts with the physical world, artificial intelligence (the cool kind, not machine learning) AND time travel!? Also a lot of characters, but after the second episode I started to understand the expected structure of the episodes and the relationship between each character.
The animation, specifically the 3D does feel kind of weird but since we're talking about a 2004 show I'm not complaining. I do wish I could find where to watch it in french because I'm not a fan of many of the english voices up until now, though I read they wanted the voice actors to "copy" the french voices so that might be the issue I have (?). However I think I'm slowly getting used to them.
And, not really a first impression, but I find it funny that the P.E teacher is named Jim and at first I thought they were calling him that because he was the Gym teacher. Also this show is really adding to my dream of having an abandoned factory.
Anyways. I think this has the potential to become an intense interest for me since I get that "nice overload" feeling I get with shows I consider my special interests. Not really a surprise since I think it has similarities to several of them (similar looking characters, similar topics and themes.)
* This is the first time I'm doing a "first impression" for one of the shows I watch but plan on doing it from now on.
QtoresQ is a stunning little mini album. It holds through lines to OnlyOneOf's earlier work while pushing something new and interesting for QQQ project. It allowed them to keep working with producers/songwriters/lyricists they've been working with from the start. It shows off Wookjin, Kyubin, and Jisung on their own terms. It gives me hope for where OnlyOneOf will go, how they can still thrive.
I like all four songs, I can't wait for lyrics to dig into. I like what I've caught already.
So far Burnaway (into the fire) is my favorite, closely followed by QtoresQ. The dreamy floaty part at the end of Rainbow shade compels me, and the whole song is interesting. Uncool is fascinating.
I'm having emotions here, I'll probably have more to say over the next few days.
Just watching Smallville on Netflix rn
LEX IS A RED HEAD??????
Y did noone tell me about this monstrosity?????
Very happy birthday to my bestest friend and ally @virgil-630!!!🎉🎉
In heaven, they're talking about nothing but the sea and how wonderful it is. They talk about the sunsets they saw, they talk about how the sun turned blood red before diving into the sea and they talk about how they could feel how the sun lost its power and the coolness from the sea and all that fire was only glowing inside.
