The thing about having a massive photo-backlog is that it can feel really strange to post your photos late—and the older they get, the stranger. The fire happened less than a year after I’d walked here, trying to snap touristy pictures and simultaneously avoid the crowd of tourists (yes, irony is my very good friend). I felt it would be a little odd, to post all my photos of Notre-Dame-de-Paris right after the fire.

So with my gift of a shoddy memory, we’ve achieved a respectful period now, I hope.
