HAD SHE A HEART TO BEAT, melanie is certain it would now be pounding at an almost unbearable rate. these past moments have been a whirlwind of emotion compared to the MISERABLE monotony of centuries past, and although there is wonder and JOY to be found in this, her long-awaited reunion, part of her is still frightened to the very core. her fingers twist themselves tightly in the fabric of lawrence’s shirt as she ATTEMPTS to steady herself, even as such a task seems IMPOSSIBLE in this moment.
