Oh hey also it’s our 3rd anniversary or something.

That’s right, three whole years since Roxie started texting me bad Harry Potter puns and said ‘hey let’s make a blog out of this’, and I said ‘hey let’s not make a blog out of this, that’ll never get anywhere’. 

And now we’re apparently in a Bo Burnham movie or something whaaaaaaat

Anyway, to celebrate, as we always do, we’ll be spending the week reblogging some of our old favourites - posts we love, posts we think didn’t get much attention, posts we forgot we made and unironically laughed at - in a little segment I like to call Accio Nostalgia Trip.

Thanks for supporting us these last three years - you guys really mean the world to us - and hey, let’s see if we can’t make it into the next Fantastic Beasts film or something.

Quick question to our followers - do any of you need us to tag Christmas-related content for you? 'Tis the season after all, but we don't want to make anyone uncomfortable if they don't wanna see that. So we'll probably be tagging Christmas related content with 'Christmas /', so add that to your blacklist if you don't want to see it!

On the subject of tagging, I went to see Fantastic Beasts last night! Brief, non-spoilery thoughts - I really enjoyed it, a lot more than I thought I was going to, I liked some of the new things that it introduced to the HP universe and while I did have some problems with and questions about it, I thought that as a whole it was really charming. (Incidentally, shout out to anyone here who might have been to the midnight screening last night at Liverpool One - I was among you!)

But obviously some of you haven’t seen it, and while I have posts to make about it, we’re not going to be all about Fantastic Beasts now - especially because Mod R hasn’t seen it yet! We’ll still have our regular HP stuff, don’t worry.

So spoilers will be infrequent, and tagged as ‘Fantastic Beasts spoilers /’. Please blacklist that if you don’t want to see them.

Ok friends, it’s getting pretty late here and I (Mod H) have to go to bed for the night. Thank you to anyone who has sent in messages of support - seriously, I wish you guys could see some of the stuff in our inbox right now that we haven’t published, there’s so many of you coming out and saying kind words.

I can only reiterate what I keep saying. Be good to each other, support each other, look out for those who need help. If you can, help people. Keep yourself safe, make sure that you are okay. Whatever happens, know that you have the support of this community, and so many more. We have faced adversity before, and we shall overcome it the same way we have overcome it so many times - together.

Take your days one at a time. Keep putting one foot in front of the other, keep supporting each other, keep carrying on. We will always be here for you and supporting you, and you are never alone. Not ever. You are brave, all of you, and you are strong even when you feel like you are not, and together we will get through this.

Ok guys, much as I want to carry on answering asks, I am probably going to be away from the keyboard for a while and unavailable to answer. Sorry to anyone whose asks I haven’t answered, I tried to go through as many as I could in the time I had. If you still need help, try and look over the asks I’ve already answered, maybe there’ll be some words there that help you. I’m sorry I can’t answer personally right now (if I could, I would), but any help I can give, even second hand, will be given gladly.

All I can say to you right now is the amount of people I’ve seen who are scared are matched by the amount of people who want to offer help and support. Look out for each other. Find communities that you can trust. There are so many people who are looking out for our communities at this time, and so many kind-hearted people for every bad person. Remember this, and remember that you are never alone. If nobody else is here for you, we are here for you.

Regular shitposting will continue as usual after this. I love you all. Stay safe, support each other, and look after yourselves.
