That was one option to this predicament they were in. But did he trust Light enough to take off the chains even temporarily? The cuffs were loose enough that they have been able to slip their shirts off, they could take turns showering. Though L was incredibly self conscious of his body and didn’t want to give Light any more ammunition to use to tease him. Maybe this was Kira’s plan to get free and escape? There was no way Light could’ve hid anything in the bathroom or bedroom so it wouldn’t be too much of a risk.

“Alright. I’ll call Watari to come down and take this off. Temporarily.” He said and returned to the bedroom and grabbed his laptop to contact his keeper to come up to their room. After a few minutes Watari showed up and and took off the cuffs and when he left locked the bedroom door so neither could leave. “You want to shower first?”

Ohhh interesting haha! I have never actually seen the Relight other than a clip or two from it, so I was just speculating about a vague concept of Light becoming a shinigami after death because it's a fan favourite AU to muse about. I just think Light's ego and idealism/altruism is so completely intertwined that if he was no longer one of the humans he would maybe no longer give a shit about their morality and fate. 🤔

Misa looked up at Light and she leaned forward putting her head against his chest. The notebook had made her forget everything that involved Kira. It had been the plan that was set up. Thinking about it now, it was truly scare to know that she had forgotten her most important role to Light.
