hey, just a warning this got long and i didn’t mean it too. so just a hi from me first to be like yo! and forgive me for you having to read all this.
so this is going to be beautiful elijah. he is very much going to be focused on the version of him we know from tvd. that means that this point in time, Elijah believes his siblings to be as good as dead. Klaus having told him that he daggered them and dropped them in the ocean, and shielded to stop Elijah from ever being able to find them. this probably happened years ago. given that we know rebekah was the last one daggered and that happened like 100+ years ago. because of this, elijah lost faith in his brother and left him. thinking that his brother was more monster than human.
elijah has since then, made a life of his own. maybe sired a community of vampires (like the one from the original but this one not evil). he had brought businesses, embedded himself in the human world. it was mostly from a distance till he ended up taking in a young girl and he went full into playing the part of human father; going to med school and studying medicine and working at the new york hospital.
in the back of his mind, he has always been worried about his brother turning up and ruining the life he has build and as he hears more and more about his brother’s actions, he knows that he has to kill him. this is a rather slow and impossible process, a plan that only really came to his mind when he found out about the new doppelganger and worked out that his brother hadn’t killed the whole of the petrova family.
elijah holds alot of guilt for the death of the petrova family, given at the time klaus was all but ordering elijah to do things; like befriend an innocent girl so that she could be murdered and then chase her through the woods. i think that he was at the very least there with his brother when klaus went and murdered katherine’s family. klaus probably did it in a rage and elijah ‘cleaned up’ by killing the ones that his brother only half killing or those that were going to die anyway. so no witness (probably saying it was so that mikael wouldn’t find them).
and that has basically lead him to here, thinking he has to let the curse be broken by his brother so that in the moment that the curse is breaking elijah can jump in and kill his brother and ‘save’ humanity. of course all this is probably going to change when it turns out his siblings aren’t dead and the boy will have to find a balance between his love for his siblings and the life he made with his daughter.

i kind of preferred the idea that elijah never actually kissed/touched/got with tatia. i just can’t see elijah getting with someone that he knows without a doubt that his brother loved. like he would have fought his brother for her and tried to tell him to like back off. try and win approval from her family to marry her. all that. but he wouldn’t have been with her physically till he had ‘won’ which never happened.
i am also not not totally familiar with the storylines from the originals to do with the first sirees and what he did to aurora and him killing tatia and the kind of person he was to marcel. so i would prefer to plot any and all of these kind of plot lines if we get the players in for them.

clearly i already added a daughter to elijah’s life because i feel like at come point you have to do have done that. i would also be down for all kinds of exes (that sentence that elijah said in season 1 of the originals about how he only loved 2 woman ever in his life; that would be crazy talk and i will have known of that). elijah deserves love and needs love. he needs someone that can get under his skin and that perfect suit of his.
