Enid marches up to her friends with Wednesday following

Enid: *looks to Wednesday for confirmation and receives a nod then takes a deep breath* Okay everyone Wednesday and I are dating but before you say anything we want you to know she's ace, so we will be figuring out how much or little physical affection she is comfortable with. And we don't want anyone to make a big deal about it . . . is is that okay? *running out of steam at the end*

Yoko: I wasn't planning on touching Wednesday let alone going further so doesn't bother me

Bianca: Ditto

Enid: *nervous* So were okay?

Yoko: Why wouldn't we be?

Enid: oh okay I might have built it up in my head

Wednesday approaches Enid pulls on her shoulders so she leans down and gives her a light kiss on the forehead

Wednesday: Thank you for being prepared to stand up for me

Bianca and Yoko: *low almost inaudible* awwwwe

Enid looks at them, Bianca scrolling on phone, Yoko flipping through magazine

Yoko: *looks up* What? Not a big deal

im just dead staring at the wednesday shipping wars. Of course both ships are fun. But Wednesday won't end up with anyone. But her own published book. I feel a little crazy seeing people getting mad at each other when defending their own ship. Like who cares what's going to be canon? Live your life, die by your ship, or none at all. They both do love Wednesday, but besides bitterness and found family, I don't think she loves them back. And that's kind of fun. It's fun when things don't line up in a perfect utopia and is more gruesome, lonely and heartbroken. That's the true gothic way.

Also she's sx/sp and aroace. So that's special to me.
