i also saw rtc this weekend

i wish i could talk about it with the same enthusiasm as i did the outsiders but ill try and name the parts i liked

spoilers ahead i guess

it was a hs production and they all did PHENOMENAL. the set was very creative especially considering that there wasnt an actual set in the real thing

karnak was wonderful. they had three different booths for karnak and seeing him jump around the three was very interesting and creative

they had an ensemble so it was very interesting seeing the choreo they came up with

the director was very creative with this one

also noels actor did a backflip on stage. thats pretty fucking madwickedawesome

speaking of madwickedawesome i loved this mischa. he was so very joyful in his choreo and very whimsical and it was somehow still very much in character. i left him a note after the show thats how whimsical he was

connie was very nice. every time i see a production of rtc (not sure why im saying every time, ive only seen two as of writing this post) i get reminded just how relatable and wonderful a character she is. i love her very much and i want to give her and her actor a smooch /plat

noel was gay as ever. his song got butchered for high school purposes but thats really my only grievance. somehow his insults were still good even with the butcher

ocean was very ocean. not much to say abt her but her actor was wonderful and it was a great portrayal of her :]

lastly onto penny; her actor fucking ATE dude like fuck yeah girl hit those notes!! i loved the way that the actor made penny walk. zombie-like walking is certainly an interesting take.

Can't really blame it, though. Nagi is really good, but his ego wasn't enough, nor was ACTUALLY ego itself. I can't also blame Nagi cuz I always identify myself with him if I was in Blue Lock, so, I know how he feels.

IN THE OTHER HAND— i'm also angry that they keep giving him panels, I GET IT. I DO, I REALLY DO. BUT MAAN, please do it with other characters then, like— yeah, anyways..

if i see one more nagi panel in the manha i might actually crash out LMFAOOOOO

okok i was gonna post on this earlier but i got to see the outsiders live and HOOOOOLY SHITTTTTTT AAAAH

spoilers ahead for the outsiders musical (not rlly anything plotwise cuz most ppl already knows the plot)

where do i even begin. this production was so good and so cool there were not one. but TWO cars on set (one of them even moved!!!! gahhhh) and i love how you can automatically tell which is the greaser's car and which is the soc's

its just so cool

oooh and the TRAIN. THE TRAIN ITS SO COOL they dont actually have a train on set (that would be amazing tho) but the lighting and sound was so peakk i cant talk abt the train enough they kept playing the train sound when there was something traumatic on stage and i think thats wonderful as a motif more on the train later

the actors were amazingg and beautiful and wonderful!! my only grievance is that there wasnt rlly any of the original cast except for ace, but shes a side character anyways (more on her later ig cuz i have a lot to say about this girl) but the actors did amazing and the originals definitely deserve a break after a TWO YEAR RUN (yes, the musical did come out 2024 but it kind of a little bit debuted in 2023) and HOLY SHIT DALLAS WINSTON. ABSOLUTE PEAK. NO NOTES. TYLER JORDAN WESLEY IS AMAZING.

sodapop was cool. hes very stupid and dumbed down in this musical which isnt exactly great cuz its hella mischaracterization but i love my idiot son sodapop patrick curtis (honorable mention of "FIVE HUNDRED FOURTY-FOUR FUCKING PAGES?!?")

pony and johnny were both very wonderful. i think one of them got u/s'd at this performance (i think it was pony) which thats ok but they both did wonderful and amazing and i love them

more on dallas because if you couldnt tell i love him and his actor very much now you can. they kind of changed the way he died in the musical as opposed to the book/movie where he gets swiss cheesed (is it bad to say that i kind of wanted to see him get swiss cheesed on stage to see if theres any more flopping than there was in the movie??) so in the musical he throws himself in front of a moving train (ok not quite throws but thats the only way i can explain it without it sounding less dope than it its already) which going back to the train motif it just gives me chills cuz urghhhdfglkjdfjgoisdjfgiosdj i love this musical

ok finally on to ace. uhhhhh shes lwk a hoe cuz its described on the website that shes incessantly flirting with soda (which does happen but only in the opening number) but i think they forgot to mention two-bit. uhm. i wasnt rlly paying attention to them but i think they were making out on the floor during the drive-in scene and theyre also really touchy in choreo and just in general so uhh. (cough community pussy cough /j)

oh and i dont think i need to mention this but the songs were peak and the vocals were peak and i love them and the actors they did phenomenal
