under the cut is my recollection of meeting tom this weekend!!!

so it really all began on saturday when i was leaving anthony mackie’s autograph line and passed by tom's booth and caught a glimpse of him. i could not believe my damn eyes.

we had vip tickets for sunday and the autograph session was first. when we got to the table, they put a sticky note on the photo that said my name so he'd know. so it came to my turn and tom looks at the sticky note and goes “brianna, right?” and i damn near fell over. he pronounced it more like bree-ann-uh than bree-ah-nuh, but would you correct tom hiddleston?? 😩so i just replied with “yeah, that’s right!” 

tom looks at the photo i chose (the headshot) and purses his lips and goes “hmm, silver, i think” and we both kind of said at the same time “it’ll show up better on the dark background.”

so he gets on with signing the photo and i kind of stumbled over my words for a moment but eventually managed to get out “while i’m here, i just wanted to say that i’ve been a fan of yours for, like..... 10 years.” tom paused mid-writing, looked up, and went “woww.” i continued with “so it’s really such a huge pleasure to finally meet you. i’m so excited.”

and i think at this point he extended my hand to shake mine??? but let me say i only know this because my friend becky told me he gave me a really long handshake after we left his signing booth. i think my brain melted so i honestly do not remember!!! 

it’s all pretty fuzzy from here, but after the handshake, tom goes back to signing and asks me if i was from seattle. i think i told him “no, i’m from portland, but i used to live in arizona.” then i commented about the fact that i don’t miss the heat at all and made some joke about how 115 degree temperatures aren’t good for anyone. and tom and i laughed?? together?? and he said something like “yeah, that isn’t really something to miss.” i really truly cannot fully remember the latter half of our conversation very well, lol. 

in the end, though, he finished signing the photo, handed it to me, and i thanked him. he smiled and then i left the signing booth! and after i made it out, the realization of what had just happened kind of washed over me and i stood there like a sad sack of sh*t in the middle of the con floor and cried in disbelief 😩😩😩i didn’t even mean or want to because that’s so cringey but i have been a fan for so long, ughhh.

if you haven’t been to a con before, they typically move really really quickly, so you rarely get a moment to really speak to the celebs. but when i walked up, he smiled really wide and said “it’s so nice to see you again!” and i think i said “you, too!” before we took The Picture. afterward, i damn well made a point to turn to him and say “thank you and thank you so much for coming. it means a lot.” he replied with “you’re welcome, it’s me pleasure” and a smile before i left!!!

First off, im not one to make these kinds of things a big deal or make a post about it at all but im too pissed off because its happened so much at other cons  that it has to stop.

To the rude af girls in the video, I dont think you realize how lucky you are to be in that position. Tons of people just like you paid a shit ton of money on tickets, went to that panel , but weren’t so lucky to go up and ask them a question. If you didnt know this before for some reason, these panels are timed, there’s only so many questions they can answer before they have to leave. You should be ashamed of yourselves for thinking that what you said was the right thing to say. So what if they arent your fave, so what if you were just joking around and wanted to be funny, that doesn’t give you the right to tell them to their faces that they are irrelevant because they arent and its really disrespectful for you to say that. I understand in this situation you might get tongue-tied or something because 1. you’re standing in front of your fave(s) and they notice you(if it were me I’d be nervous as hell too) and 2. your on the spot, but still you shouldnt be disrespectful to ANYONE there. The celebrities are spending THEIR time at a con and answering YOUR questions. Other fans that want to see their faves are spending THEIR time waiting hours upon hours just to get inside the hall; trust me I know, ive been through this before back in 2014 for a teen wolf panel. To have that experience of being in the same room as your fave celebrity and have them answer questions just to have it get ruined because yall decided to be rude is just so mind boggling to me. Its such a waste of time and money. 

Celebrities like seb,tom,and anthony can easily not go to cons anymore if this type of behavior is gonna continue happening, whether is be at ACE,SDCC,etc. Hell, I wouldnt even want celebrities to come to cons if I knew this was going to happen. I understand that some of the girls were kids and are “young” so they’re still learning or whatever but they should realize that in these type of situations that being rude is not the way to go, AND this goes to everyone, whether you’re 10 years old or 50 years old. DONT.BE.RUDE.

Am I saying you should send hate to the girls in the video? No, because if you o then you’re basically putting yourself on the same level as them. I just hope that  you see this compilation and learn to not be cringeworthy or waste people’s time with rude comments because honestly, its getting really tiring at this point to keep telling people to not be rude.
