40. Do you believe in love?

I sure as hell hope so! After 9 years with the most amazing guy in the world, I can honestly say I do. Love does well and truly exist, some find it earlier and some find it later.  It is the purest, most beautiful thing our world possesses! It only appears rare because of all the divorce and other horrors in the world. I think that it's harder to find nowadays because relationships are now viewed as "disposable"I feel like that's become our culture's mentality. But true love is out there! I've seen it! And felt it! When you see that one person that makes your day every time you see them, that one person that gives you peace and butterflies, that one person that just loves you for who you are and accepts you and your flaws...that's true love.

LOVE is a temporary madness. It erupts like an earthquake and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have become so //entwined// together that it is inconceivable that you should ever //part//. Because this is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, it is not //excitement//, it is not the promulgation of promises of eternal //passion//. That is just being “in love” which any of us can convince ourselves we are.
