Speaking of I Can't Reach You's jealousy about boundaries, I like how Serena's boundary is literally who Ash wants to go with.

I think many people don't value this characteristic and end up interpreting it completely wrong because of the obsession of the AMOURSHIPPING FANDOM and others to fight for the existence of Amour/to validate Amourshipping

The only people who fight for the existence of someone by Ash's side if he wants are the Amourshipping shippers/Haters

The fans mostly also make Calem look bad in FanFiction and they use him to make Ash jealous, which I think is stupid if you ask me, and his characterization almost always sucks.

Analyze the character by their own attitudes in the plot and stop simply...putting the fans as the behavior of the character/characters. You can't let fans of a shipping discount how a character is actually characterized.

Since today is February 12th, that means it's Iris's official Pokémon birthday! Instead of a story, I've got some birthday headcanons for Iris...

Iris always likes to beat around the bush with Ash until he realizes it's her birthday and says the phrase.

Cilan likes to bake her a first-class for her birthday, even though she likes something small and simple.

Ash always gives her a small piece of jewelry for het birthday as his gift to her. And he also likes to have a small battle with her. At first, he was holding back so that she could win, but after she caught on, he went all out and even though she lost, she enjoyed it.

Being her childhood friend, Shannon is the first one to give Iris a gift on her birthday.

Drayton likes to tease Iris on her birthday, but he gets more aggressive with her when she starts dating Ash.

As a teasing method, Georgia always gives Iris ice-like gifts just to see her squirm in her fear of Ice Types, but despite that, Iris knows Georgia cares for her deeply.

Goh and Dawn will team up and get Iris something awesome or fancy. And when Iris starts dating Ash, just like Drayton (and sometimes with him), they'll tease her to use their gift with him.

Iris likes spending her birthdays in quiet, away from the paparazzi. So, when her birthday gets closer, she'll travel to the Village of Dragons just to get some peace and quiet.

NOTP: Wishful. It's actually not even as strongly a NOTP as GeekChic is for me (which itself wasn't a NOTP as much as a "I really wish used this ship for other things") I just often find it lazy lmao

BROTP: I'm gonna cheat and say Halleyshipping and not leave an explanation! Just the confirmation that Hilda exists in Shining Justice.

I haven't fully worked out their dynamic, but I plan on Hilda taking Ash's place when I do get around to doing the Black and White, and they're friends!
