1. @the-ace-escape i was NOT talking about ace rape victims in general, i was talking about the INSTITUTION OF CORRECTIVE RAPE! not just rape, the practice of corrective rape as a means of “correcting” sga people. that is completely separate from whatever you are freaking out about and has nothing to do with what i am freaking out about
2. @featherinmycapandcheese i was not calling any of the people that replied to my post cishet aces, i read your bios and i know you aren’t. i was talking about the replies on a post i saw yesterday (https://transilvally.tumblr.com/post/153628462504/aces-are-valid-but-not-lgbt-aces-are), which incited my original post. i AGREE with the post i linked here. LGBT aces are valid. i never said otherwise. two of my lgbt ace friends reblogged the post i linked above and agree with it too, so obviously my opinion is shared by some ace people and i do not hate you by virtue of your asexuality. most of the argument in your most recent response to me was barely coherent and i dont feel that i can adequately respond to it. the part of my post about south african women was in response to @keikuri so i don’t know why you brought that up. your response to that part of my post just restated what i was already saying but somehow argumentatively, so if you want to rephrase that, i would be happy to read it again.
3. anyways, i hope i have made myself clear. i do not hate ace people. i am not speaking over or invalidating the experiences of ace victims of rape. i am strictly talking about the institution of corrective rape of sga people. whether or not those sga people are also aro or ace is not the matter at hand. if you are aro/ace and lgb and have faced corrective rape because of your same gender attraction, i am sorry you had to experience that. i accept you and your experience is valid. i am going to tag everyone that reblogged and responded to my post in case they want clarification as well! please dont hesitate to message me off anon if you want to CALMLY AND RATIONALLY discuss this further, but i think this little “thread” should be closed since it only causes confusion and there is no way to actually have a conversation in this very one-sided format. thanks guys!
