askdlfjasdf tbh that headcanon almost got twice as long because i started describing what their trip to the store was like, like it would HAVE to be from the retail worker’s POV without a doubt (like can you imagine what sam and steve teaming up on retail/service people is like?? like THE MOST POLITE AND GRACIOUS DUO EVER but at the same time, they’re SO PICKY and they DISAGREE FOR LIKE 2 HOURS so they’re feeling horrible and apologizing a lot but they’re also determined to get what they want so they’re just unfailingly polite and sternly demanding before turning to each other and bickering for like 3 hours and this poor retail person wANTS to hate them but they’re being so nice?? whut 2 do???)

yesssssssss omg!!! lito loving hernando’s love and passion, esp lito loving him even when he doesn’t understand it all - you can see it in his face in the flashback in the diego rivera museum, watching hernando with these wide delighted eyes like there’s never been anything better than watching hernando fall in love with art right in front of him. i love that hernando processes and lito reacts, but they’re just two different ways of living and loving intensely; hernando with the deepest and most meaningful consideration and lito without hesitation or second thoughts.
