So what could have been better suited to this week than a 'Pride' beetle?! ❤️🌈 To make the beetle really shine, I drew the base of the beetle with crayons and then completely reworked it with the Acrylograph Pens by @archerandolive . The pens are awesome!! They are similar to Posca pens, but they are much better to hold, are super easy to use and have an even flow of ink. They are available in three different selections (Primary, Jewel and Tropical Selection-please swipe to take a look at the beauties) with 8 vivid, non-toxic colors plus white and a blank pen for blending to create almost any color you can think of. You can get them in two different tip sizes. 7.0 mm is very thin and enables very fine work, 3.0 mm is thicker and works well to boldly color larger areas. The texture of the acrylic paint is slightly different from that of the Posca pens, the paint application is wonderfully smooth and immediately opaque, the color of the Poscas is chalkier.
