LPU Verto teams-up with Alumnus to launch a Cybersecurity startup- Kleen Infosec

In today’s era, the internet has become the spine for all sorts of online administrations. It has unleashed dozens of new innovative capabilities, including e-Education, digital transactions, e-Shopping, and e-health social media, and the rundown goes on.

In the present pandemic circumstance where “Work from Home” is a reality for most and Digital organizations and services are on the ascent, so are cyber-attacks. Data is a critical segment of most organizations’ serious methodology, whether for the immediate collection, management, and translation of business data or the ongoing preservation of data for day-to-day business operations. Availability of all the crucial data online means more chances of getting attacked or hacked, leading to reputational harm, putting the company in a difficult spot, and authoritative non-compliance. Moreover, a cyberattack is no longer an issue that only security experts and web administrators must contend with; even the programmers and automated assailants are efficient. They are no longer focused solely on organizations and businesses-related data but on individuals. But what if everyone can protect themselves?

Considering the risks of cyber threats, two of LPU students , Mr. Kachkad Narender (LPU Alumnus) and Mr. Kunur Vajpayee (B.Tech Computer Science, final year student), teamed up to launch a cybersecurity start-up ‘Kleen infosec‘ on 23rd March 2020, and got featured in ‘The New Indian Express.’ After hearing stories about MobiKwik and Facebook users’ data leak on the dark web and sold, which became a security threat and concern, they began working on their concept in 2019. And, thus, their start-up emphasizes cybersecurity and hopes to raise awareness among today’s youth about all kinds of cyber-threats that exist.

The featured news sheds light on the three verticals under Kleen Infosec and primarily focuses on ‘Kleen Academy.’ Talking more about Kleen Academy, Mr. Kunur Vajpayee elucidated, “In online courses after logging in, student have to purchase the whole deal regardless of their interest and whether they finish it or not! But things would be different at Kleen Academy. You can buy each chapter of a course and continue if your interest grows.” Mr. Awadhesh Shukla, Assistant Professor, LPU, collaborated with the pair to create the curriculum for the course; thus, the chapters added in the provided course are apt and systematic. With the same educational plan, they have effectively conducted around six virtual workshops. These workshops emphasize the fundamentals of network/cybersecurity, and Kleen Academy will provide a couple of extra alternatives in a similar area.

Lovely Professional University MSc Agriculture student bags Rs 1 crore package

A final year student of M.Sc. Agriculture (Agronomy) at Lovely Professional University, has bagged a package of Rs. 1 crore. The package has been offered by Monsanto, an agrochemical company and now part of the crop sciences division of the Bayer Group. This student has been offered the role of production manager at Monsanto Canada, according to the institute.
