2. What country/city would you want to live in?
Hm, I feel like I don't know enough about the world. I'd love to live somewhere in Italy, but Rome's a little crazy. I'd really like to try it out in Canada - I already have the citizenship - one of the cities like Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Ottawa etc. I'll have a better idea when I've done much more wandering.

4. Favourite album (why?)
Damn, I could never ever properly pick just one. Damn. I'm in a post-punky mood though, and two that would certainly be in my top twenty are Joy Division's Closerand the Cure's Disintegration. The former is like the perfect, pounding musical machine. Every member of the band is taking the limelight and every cog in the machine is giving the best spin of its life. It's darker, deeper, and more intricate than Unknown Pleasures and it just engulfs me. The latter just blows my mind. The Cure are so good at being magical and flowery but in Disintegration they found their teeth - picked up all of the atmosphere Joy Division left swirling around and made it entirely their own. A thing of monstrous beauty.

I can't be bothered to think of any more, but this is worth five. Liam Neeson's monotone acting is at its monotonous rock-bottom in a bog-standard thriller that does not do a single new or interesting thing. And as if that wasn't enough, it's ruthlessly xenophobic; what a horrible, fascist bastard of a film.

They're all so fun and deep and diverse that I think anyone could find something to love in them.
7. Are you vegetarian/ ever thought of becoming a vegetarian?
I am a vegetarian. I declared I was one when I was four and my mum lied and fed me meat and when she told me the truth I realised how fussy I was and the futility of the exercise so gladly went back to muching burgers. Then my conscience got the better of me when I was older and I was having bad dreams and I'm so glad I took the very small jump. I'm happier and healthier. It keeps my head clear.
