Are you still doing the Levi advice If so I really need some rn.So this last year I’ve lost 60 lbs and Ive finally gained a little confidence back after being bullied in middle school. Now some of the girls at my high school have started to target me and my family(and their older friends )tends to say how now I’m”too skinny”and that I am”starting to look sickly”when my BMI is healthy.I’m happy with how I look now but all the negative comments are getting to me.What should I do? -Jasper
Hey Jasper,
Levi here. Ackerman asks will always be open, so don't worry about that.
It sounds like you're having a really shitty time at the hands of some idiots who are jealous of your amazing result. It's crazy that you did that and you deserve to love your body, so well done. You'd make a great scout with that determination.
As long as your BMI is healthy, you shouldn't listen to those idiots. But I know they will still hurt you, nobody is made of steel, not even me. Even if you feel that it isn't effective if you talk to an adult, such as teachers, this is bullying and it needs to be fixed. You need to keeo bringing it to attention until it gets sorted.
Another method is to just say "okay" to everything they say. Blank it and reply with that every time. They will get frustrated at your lack of reaction and then get bored. Maybe even tell them you're happy with your body and honestly that's all that matters. And as cliche as it sounds, they probably do have an insecurity or problem of their own, they take it out on you via bullying, even though it is a total dick move.
Be proud of who you are, don't change because of a group of people making comments. People love you for who you are and the more you love yourself the less they will bother you, you got this.
Levi.
