My acne diary #1,

I was introduced to Goree. It was perfect, it was November 2017 when I first started using it. It's to die for! My friends started to used it too but they experienced such bad effects so they stopped it and me? I continued to used it. I didn't listen to others because I was having the best results so I don't care. It was around January 2018 when I first saw the white heads on the side of my face some of it are turning into rashes and my workmate saw it. I said maybe because of the chicken because I have allergies with chicken and all I ever eat was just chicken haha so I didn't care. March 2018 it's been multiplying like scary white dots on my jaw and it started to spread on the side of my forhead.

April 2018 I pricked my whiteheads and blackheads and clean my face like a boss and hell that started my acne break out. I stopped using Goree and used different moisturizer. I bought Eskinol the same stuff I've been using before but its not working on my acne anymore.

From Goree, I used Fair and Lovely cream. Fair and Lovely can be bought on the grocery store and it was good when I was using it when I was still in the Philippines but somehow it's not working my skin anymore. From that, I used Dove on my face and I tried to used Aztec twice a week too nothing changed, my skin turned dull and I hate it. I started to hate what I look like. It turned my world somehow upside down having pimples brings your confidence from 10 to 0. I was a customer representative and I hate it when people asked me what happened to you like me too dude I was wondering what happened to me?

Introducing me:

Hello there curious cat!

Let me start with who I am, where I am and what the hell am I doing with my life right now. I'm Gessy, a natural born Filipina but currently living and working at Dubai, United Arab Emirates. (A very hot country indeed!) I just graduated last April 2016 with a degree of Arts and Communications majoring broadcasting. Life has a funny way to mislead you for I worked in a bank for a year (who would ever thought I'll start my career there when I really hate math!). And then, when I saw an opportunity.. I flew to Dubai right away and started my work as a customer representative slash teller for an exchange company (Let's just keep it that way).

MY TEENAGE YEARS

As a teenager I never really have problems with my face like I never experienced getting abused by pimples or rashes and such. Everything is smooth sailing like I'll be having a tiny pimple one day and the next day it's gone.

MY LIFE STYLE

I have such an active lifestyle before, even in my college years? I trained to dance and I have maintained my super-mega-virgin-pimple-free face because I have never used chemical stuff to clean my skin just a normal soap and everyday training. I never even had a facial from a skin Care center.

First job and Pimples 2016

When I started working I have encountered some multipled pimples like three pimples at the same time just because my job involves my hands and my face is exposed on dust and dirt. You really thought working in a bank is sexy and clean? Na ah ah you are so wrong. Everyday you're holding cash dollars baby and it's dirty dude! And sometimes I forget how dirty my hands were because I used it to wipe my sweat. So I started to use a cleanser because Philippines you know, they have polluted air especially on busy areas such as manila, Cavite and Makati. My face somehow improved and it gotten fresh looking again. I also added olay( the pink one) as my moisturizer because it's really good.

So every morning after I took a bath, I used Eskinol, the anti pimple one as my cleanser and then olay for my moisturizer and then baby powder.

DUBAI 2017

I went here with such a flawless looking skin. I have no pimples and my cheeks are glowing. Everyone likes my face I'm quite satisfied with it. What happened?

I was introduced to a Goree product. It was perfect, like my skin loves the cream it went well with me. It was also winter here, meaning it's cold here so maybe that's why it kinda worked I was happy because it seems like every growing pimple will stop from growing and will just turned into blackheads or white heads I thought it's good. My skin turned fairer and smoother and better. The winter turned into summer damn it's so hot 44 degree celcius holy shimusjkst can you imagined that? My pores open up like shit and suddenly I begin to see this white heads developing like tiny moles on my jawline it was so bad like apeshit bad. I started to lose my brain so I pricked it. I pricked it and Bam! Wrong move...

hey everyone, this is my first post on this accutane blog.

so let me introduce myself!

i’m a 20 year-old girl, living in france. i’ve had acne since i was about 11-12 years old (just a few spots here and there, my skin was still pretty clear). it got a bit worse when i turned 16, so i started taking care of my skin a bit more. i started with drugstore skincare, which irritated my skin, so i turned to korean skincare and organic and natural alternatives, and i didn’t really notice any improvement. i then went to visit a dermatologist, who put me on antibiotics (tetralysal/lymecycline) and prescribed an adapalene cream, for about a year. again, no significant improvement. i started uni, so i was a bit too busy to care about my skin and my dermatologist advised me to wait a bit more and keep taking antibiotics, before considering taking anything else.

about a year ago, my acne became worse and i decided to cut out dairy products and start an all natural skin care routine... still nothing! i got really tired of it, and decided to check up with my dermatologist again. he said that accutane was probably something to consider right now, and so after weighing the pros and cons, i decided that i would take it and hopefully get rid of my acne forever!

so since may 4, i’ve been taking 30mg of isotretinoin everyday. i’ll try to post regular updates on that blog!

I've lost count of the weeks but I'm in month 6/7!

No new symptoms just dry dry skin and wounds don't seem to heal. Mood has been down a lot.

Hyperpigementation

Starting to see some unpleasant effects of accutane now 4 months in- my acne is gone but where it was is becoming increasingly red and uneven. My pores are also larger because they are no longer congested and my foundation is starting to separate into dry patches!? But it's such a blessing to be spot free and not to worry about waking up all broken out. I can't believe what I used to think was 'normal' and what I put up with for so long.

Week 20-21 fortnightly update I haven’t had any active spots, skin is really dry and bleeds if I scratch, lips are really drying out but otherwise no symptoms. Hair doesn’t get dirty.. Ever… So happy with my skin and not having to worry about waking up covered in lumps and bumps and marks.
