So Az stared at the headache powder every night, do you guys think he stares at the earplugs and the note that came with them too? Is the note worn smooth from him touching it so much, does it still smell like her despite the time away and it drives him mad? Will it be obvious the second anyone walks into his room that he hoards her gifts to the point he gets his shadows to tuck them away before anyone notices?

What will happen when Elain goes to his room and he is so distracted by her he doesn’t hide it and those are the first things she sees on his nightstand and he has to explain himself

Fun fact for Elain’s solstice necklace Azriel bought her from a stained glass artist, pink stained glass is INCREDIBLY expensive compared to other colours and rarer to come by because of the metals used to make the colour like gold

So even the thing of “secret and lovely beauty” is treasured and precious

hmm isn’t it funny mating bonds are made of a gold colour what are the odds hmmmmmmm

Sarah said in the interview at the back of ACOFAS that Elain will have nightmares being choked by ivy, but when that happen can she pretty please be in Azriel’s vicinity and he hears her/his shadows go berserk and he wakes her and comforts her?

Or if not a nightmare then a surprise vision and maybe she has a panic attack because it caught her off guard or the content of it

I feel like he will need that sort of event in his head in order to overcome rhys’s “stay away from her order”, this just gives him the permission to do exactly what he’s dying to do which is be close to her. And she will need something in order to overlook the hurt from his “rejection”

I CANNOT wait to figure out how close together Azriel and Elain’s bedrooms are in Rhys and Feyre’s new home

Do they share a wall? If she opened her door would she face his? Does she had to walk past his every single day to get to the main living area like what’s the sitch

Do they share walls with anyone who currently lives there full time and could they hear a headboard rattle. Could he overhear any alone time she could potentially have, or would anyone know if either opened the door and they slipped into someone else’s room? Hmm the possibilities are endless

Does anyone else wonder what Elain’s Ordeal will be?

*crescent city spoiler below*

In the crescent city universe, every fae, even if they’re only half, will experience something called an ordeal, here’s what Ruhn had to say in chapter 17 of CC1:

“The Ordeal itself varied depending on the person: for some, it might be as simple as overcoming an illness or a bit of personal strife. For others, it might be slaying a wyrm or a demon. The greater the Fae, the greater the Ordeal.”

I think it is widely accepted that for Feyre, her ordeal was under the mountain in book 1. When it comes to Nesta and Elain, you could argue that their ordeals were being thrown into the cauldron, which don’t get me wrong makes sense but also there needs to be more. It can’t just be something traumatic that happened to you that you have little to no roll in for me personally. Like Bryce’s ordeal wasn’t what she came home to after the club and saw what had become of her best friends, even though that could be argued seeing her friends as pulp and the grief could be her ordeal. For Bryce, it was the whole interaction which Micah in the library, followed by the demons outside and her drop after the bomb to save Hunt.

Nesta’s ordeal was the blood rite, she survived it and briallyn and the whole scene at the top of the mountain, followed by saving Feyre, Rhys and Nyx and using the dread trove to do it. Again the feyre part may not be included for some but since it happened back to back like Bryce it’s included for me, like how Feyre’s neck snapping and becoming fae under the mountain is included in hers.

But what’s in store for Elain? I don’t think it was her transition post cauldron from human to fae, nor do I think Fey and Azrescuing her was her ordeal. That moment was more about 1. Tamlin having his redemption with assisting their rescue (which he later complete the arc with saving Rhys and then feyre giving him the note, like that man’s redemption arc is done and whoever doesn’t agree and wants his pov can argue with a wall) 2. it was also about Elriel, Az ignoring the fact he was probably die and saving her along with Elain being strong and brave, that even though she’s gentle she kicked a beast off Az with her bare foot which later lead to the truthteller moment and 3. It was Feyre with the Nephelle philosophy “- what we think to be our greatest weakness can sometimes be our biggest strength. And that the most unlikely person can alter the course of history.” That cannot be Elain’s ordeal also because it was Feyre’s book

Obviously her ordeal will be related to her seer ability, probably koschei and probably related to her becoming a spy? Maybe breaking her mating bond? Maybe rescuing Azriel? Hmmm, we have 2-3 books to learn I guess
