One Kiki you don’t have to ask if she loves you. You just know
Kiki is so cute. 😭
With the regular +5 friendship boosts every time I get a report from Francine, she quickly hit level 35, and was the first animal to do so in my game. Kiki was a close second, managing it late the same day. So far, only the newest villagers (Beardo being the only one I’d unlocked at the time) are below level 34. So it won’t be long until they’re all maxed again, and I couldn’t be happier about that!
No, I... wait, what? I don’t even understand what this could possibly mean. Like, I guess? It looks the same as from anywhere else, right? Or maybe because the seasons don’t change here, for some reason, it looks a little more summery here?
Part 2 of the animals talking about the Autumn Moon. Kiki just thinks it’s pretty neat, and Bitty, far from not knowing how to use a computer like in New Leaf, is now looking forward to taking a selfie in front of the moon.
Some of my campers talking about the Winter Solstice. I tried hard to find any posts from last year’s Solstice in Pocket Camp, but came up empty. Still, I think these are the same lines from a year ago. If I’m right, and they are, then that’s profoundly disappointing. One thing I thought this game could do was come up with new lines each year for these kinds of holidays, to, you know, keep it from becoming repetitive like New Leaf has. I’ll grant you that the EVENTS are new, and the EVENT-RELATED FURNITURE is new, but if the dialogue is the same, it still feels a bit hollow. It’s like a half-step forward, and I find that a little annoying.
Kiki enjoying the Modern Tent. She has great ideas for life hacks, such as reusing toilet paper rolls because it’s too difficult to use things like cups, apparently. I briefly considered doing this in real life and taking a picture just to show how silly it is, but I decided that I don’t actually want to do that. But I WILL tell you about how, when I was a kid, my dad used to save dozens of cardboard tubes and pack them together, then soak them in wax and use them as firestarters. They’re pretty good at that, since at that point they’re basically just porous wood soaked through with a flammable substance. Kind of a colossal waste of time, though, honestly!
Kiki likes to make food that is themed for the season, but 1) ONLY food that is seasonal, and 2) ONLY the current season. She can’t just make, like, hamburgers. Those aren’t seasonal. And she definitely can’t bust out a grill and cook some up, either, because grilled burgers are a summer food!
