It’s funny because her name is Sprinkle, and I had her gift be a giant ice cream cone. It’s a good joke! I’m proud of it!

When you say something funny but no one else gets it...

I changed who was at my camp and the animal Sprinkle was laughing with left... she kept laughing anyway.

I thought this was, like, the joke answer, honestly. I wasn’t paying a lot of attention and didn’t see who the gift was for, so I just picked “plain tree stump” for kicks. Filbert loves it, though, even if I don’t fully agree that this counts as a stump. It’s more like a squat little log. I say a stump is only a stump if it’s still got roots in the ground. Anything else just doesn’t count. It just doesn’t!

I picked this as a joke! Like a “Ha ha, isn’t that just SO ON THE NOSE to give Sprinkle a big ol’ ice cream lamp??” But then she liked it! So what the hell do I know, I guess?

Sprinkle’s wide body makes it impossible for her to actually get her flippers (Or are they wings? Hang on, let me google it -- okay, they’re definitely flippers) around the guitar properly, but that doesn’t stop her from standing there and playing the hell out of it. It was a song about herself, like all of her music. This one was called “Most Valuable Penguin” and was about a penguin who couldn’t physically play the guitar and yet somehow did it anyway.

I’m not going to make fun of how they’re both saying the same thing for once. I’m instead just going to point out how Sprinkle’s body makes yet another basic emote look totally different. With Dotty, it’s more like she’s trying to hold her hands up to her face, like to wipe her eyes or something. With Sprinkle, her hands are just forward and out, like she’s just sort of holding her arms up to the heavens to beg God for some relief.

Do you suppose there are any out there? There’ve got to be, right? I just can’t think of any.

I guess it’s hard to be at the top of two fields at once! You wanna be the best in the world? You gotta train harder than anyone else in the world! And probably also be a genetic lottery winner. For sports, I mean. To be a famous pop star, you also need an incredible amount of luck.

Anyway, feel free to tell me about anybody who’s famous for both their music career and their athletic career, and I’ll tell you that I’ve never heard of them and that yeah, probably, fine, you’re right.
