My dog just stole this toy out of a neighbor's yard. She was about 20' ahead of me and I saw her pause, pick something up, literally look around to see if anyone was watching, and hurry on her way with it in her mouth. Usually when she does that it means she found some rotting food or a dead animal, something she knows I would take away from her, so she keeps well ahead of me. She also will usually get distracted and drop whatever it is within a couple of blocks. Not so little pink dino toy. She carried that thing without distraction for about six blocks back to the house, at which point she politely dropped it in my hand. I can only assume she came to the shrewd conclusion that if she got me all the way home I would be too lazy to take it back. But guys, she carried it so very very gently. What's particularly funny is that I just recently bought her this orange stuffed rat, not thinking she'd care about it at all, as she has not cared about any other toy I've given her. Instead she's become very attached to it. I bought it as a toy for her to tear up but she will carry it gently from one room to the other and lay it down next to her. Same thing with this dinosaur. Methinks she's wishing for some puppies... #tesseract #dogwalkingthoughts #thief #kidnapping #acrimeinthenight
