Austin, TX 78702 Jeanette Hill’s award-winning play 'Don't Call Me Brother!' examines the struggle of a man with dual-citizenship: he is African American and in law enforcement. His recent promotion tasks him with restoring trust between the Department and the urban neighborhood where he was born and raised. All eyes are on him. The fragile balance between his career, family and former community spins out of control when an unarmed African American youth is killed by a fellow cop in his old neighborhood. Now each side is watching, wondering, 'Is he Black...or is he Blue?' There will be up to 3 weekly rehearsals culminating in six performances on September 21 through September 24th 2017.
